Not only should you place bicarbonate of soda on the racks and the bottom of the dishwasher, but you should also arrange it on the cutlery tray. It should be sufficient to cover the whole surface with half a glass of baking soda, but you may include more baking soda if it is required.
Following the application of baking soda to the dishwasher, carefully fill a glass with white vinegar until it is completely full, and then position it in the middle of the top rack in the dishwasher.

At this point, it is appropriate to start a wash cycle and wait for the baking soda and white vinegar to do their duties, which will include completely cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing the dishwasher.

When the washing cycle is complete, the only thing that will be left is the glass that is full of water. There will be no trace of grease or limescale left on the dishwasher, and it will have a fresh aroma. The dishwasher will be quite clean and shining at this point.

It is recommended that you wash the dishwasher using the glass technique at least once a month in order to maintain a clean and high-performing appliance continuously.
