I bought a shower mat, took out the rest of the beautiful yarn and made a real beauty for the bathroom

A small rug can radically change the look of a room, turning into a bright interior detail, especially if it is made by yourself.

Rugs remain trendy and are in steady demand. It seems that it is hardly possible to come up with something new, but ideas are constantly updated. To make a rug, you often do not need to purchase special materials, since everything that is at hand will do. From old jeans, T-shirts, pieces of fabric, rope, bags and towels you can create something unique.

There are many manufacturing techniques: knitting, weaving, sewing, weaving. Rugs come in different shapes – round, oval, square, in the form of various figures and animals.

I recently created an adorable yarn rug. Previously, I was fond of knitting, and I still had a box of threads. Interests change over time, and now I am looking for new directions for creativity.

As a base, I used a rubber mat that I originally bought for the bathroom, which turned out to be too big. The remainder became the basis for a new rug.

I made pom poms using four colors of yarn. They are very convenient to make on cardboard, the width of which can be adjusted – mine was 6 cm. The wider the cardboard, the larger the pom-pom. It is important to strictly observe the number of turns so that the pompoms are the same.

After winding, I threaded the thread through the slit and pulled the yarn tightly so that the pompoms did not fall apart during use.

Then the winding was cut along the edges, forming fluffy elements, which were then trimmed to a ball shape. The number of such elements depends on the size of the rug.
