1 cup water
1 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon sodium borate or borax
This tip has been proven to be effective in repelling mosquitoes and keeping them away from your home and garden. Follow these simple steps to make your own mosquito repellent:

In a bowl, mix the sodium borate with a small amount of water until completely dissolved.
In a saucepan, heat the water and add the sugar, stirring constantly until completely dissolved. Next, add the vinegar and continue to stir the mixture.
Add the sodium borate mixture to the base liquid in the saucepan. Make sure to mix all the ingredients well until you have a smooth consistency.
Let the mixture cool completely, then transfer it to a covered container for storage. A spray would be ideal.
Once prepared, you can place this homemade repellent in different areas of your home, such as decks, patios or around doors and windows. You can also use it in your garden to keep mosquitoes away while you enjoy the outdoors.
