White vinegar and baking soda (two-step method):
Step 1: Baking Soda
– Generously sprinkle baking soda on the burnt bottom of the pan.
– Pour enough hot water to completely cover the area sprinkled with baking soda.
– Leave to sit for at least an hour, or even overnight if the burnt residue is very stubborn.
The baking soda will act as a gentle cleanser and help loosen the burnt residue, while the warm water will aid the process.
Step 2: White Vinegar
– Once the first step is complete, pour white vinegar over the baking soda soaked in hot water.
– You will see an effervescent reaction occurring, which will help further dislodge the burnt residue.
After the reaction, use a sponge or brush to gently scrub the back of the pan. You should notice that the burnt residue comes off more easily thanks to the combined action of the baking soda and vinegar.
Next, rinse the pan well with hot water to remove any excess baking soda and vinegar.
This two-step method is very effective in removing stubborn burnt stains. It requires only natural ingredients and no harsh chemicals, making it an eco-friendly option for cleaning your pans. Remember to scrub gently to preserve the surface of the pan.
