- Marseille soap : it is an excellent ally for removing stains and you only need to wet a corner of the soap and rub it gently on the stain until a sufficient amount of soap remains on the stain. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and then rinse.
- Sparkling water – This is a special method for delicate garments such as leather, leather or velvet. Simply rub the stain with a cloth soaked in club soda on both sides of the fabric. Then run a hot iron over it and the coffee stain will be gone.
Fabrics and coffee stains.
It is also very important to treat stains depending on the type of fabric. There is a different treatment to do if you are going to treat jeans, cotton or silk. Let’s look at some precautions to take:
- Coffee stains on jeans : There are two remedies to remove coffee stains from jeans:
– the first method consists of mixing salt with lemon juice and applying the resulting paste to the stain. Leave it on for about an hour and then rub gently with water.
– The second method is to mix salt and carbonated water and then apply them to the stain. Let it sit for approximately 8 hours and then proceed with washing in the washing machine.
- Coffee stains on cotton : the simplest method is with boiling water and a few drops of hydrogen peroxide, but this only when the stain is fresh. If it is dry, rub it first with glycerin and then with ammonia.
- Coffee stains on silk : the fabric is very delicate so you have to be very delicate. The most effective method is that of apple cider vinegar, already explained above, but with the difference of leaving the garment to soak overnight in a container with water and two cups of apple cider vinegar. Just the next day go and rinse with cold water.
So be careful with coffee cups because the stains it leaves are very stubborn. However, coffee not only stains but there are also numerous remedies with the grounds. For example, they can be used in some household tasks but they can also be an excellent fertilizer for plants.
