Fried fish is already a thing of the past. I’m sharing a recipe for delicious fish in pita bread

Assemble the Pita Wraps:
Lay out the pita breads on a clean surface.
Place onion and tomato rings evenly on each pita bread.
Layer the Fish and Sauce:
Spoon the mayonnaise-cheese mixture evenly over the vegetables on each pita bread.
Place seasoned fish fillet portions on top of the sauce mixture.
Wrap the Pitas:
Carefully fold the sides of each pita bread over the filling to create a wrap or envelope shape. Place each wrapped pita seam side down on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Prepare the Egg Wash:
In another bowl, beat 1 egg and mix it with sour cream.
Bake the Fish in Pita Bread:
Brush the top of each pita envelope with the egg-sour cream mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the pita bread is golden brown and crisp.
Serve:
Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
Optionally, sprinkle with additional chopped parsley and serve with a side salad or yogurt sauce.
