How to clean the iron
This is one of the ways in which we have to teach you how to clean an iron , so that it no longer sticks to the pieces you need to iron.
To do this, mix equal parts vinegar (preferably white) and common table salt. Mix the ingredients until the salt is completely dissolved, forming a solution. But don’t let the recipe come to a boil, okay?
Using a clean cloth, moisten it with this solution and, with the iron turned off, pass the cloth over the entire sheet metal of the appliance. Then dry the iron soleplate well with a clean, dry cloth or even with absorbent paper or newspaper.
After that the iron will no longer stick to the fabrics.
How to clean the iron with warm water and neutral detergent
This is another recipe to get your iron to iron your clothes properly again.
Here, you should mix a few drops of neutral detergent and dissolve it in a little warm water. This process will result in a foam.
Using a sponge or very soft cloth, rub this solution onto the soleplate of the iron that is turned off. Continue until you notice that the part you attached to your clothes is free of residue.
To remove the detergent we used, use a dry cloth with pure water. To dry, clean the iron soleplate with a dry cloth or leave the iron on.
But be careful, if you intend to dry the soleplate of your iron with its own heat, make sure that all the detergent has been removed.
