It is possible to make a fly trap with a simple plastic bottle. Before you begin, rinse the bottle with hot water and remove the cap. Then, using a knife or scissors, cut the bottle in half. Then turn the top part over to form a kind of funnel and attach it to the second part of the bottle, which should be larger. Secure everything with waterproof tape. Pour red wine or balsamic vinegar into the bottom of the bottle to attract mosquitoes. They will be attracted to the smell and get trapped inside.

Next, drill wide holes on both sides of a sheet so you can pass ropes through them. Dip the strip into the mixture once it has cooled and then hang the trap in the correct locations making sure it is dry.
