Halve the banana and place the halves in the dirt, being sure to cover them two to five centimeters deep. Take this easy step to keep pests, including aphids, at bay. The peel also contains high concentrations of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. Plants including cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplants, potatoes, pumpkins, begonias, and roses will thrive on this fertilizer.
