Shrunken sweater: grandma’s tip to get it back!

Have you ever had your  clothes  feel pretty darn tight after a machine wash ,  like they’ve shrunk a size (or two)? So  how to fix it?

Unfortunately, we often forget to pay attention to the labels on our clothing which contain basic washing and drying information. This is how it works, washing at too high temperatures or putting delicate clothes in the dryer.

But there are  several remedies  to try to remedy the disaster. Curious? So don’t miss all the  tips below!

How to enlarge shrunken cotton, silk and linen clothes

Natural fibers such as cotton, silk and linen tend to shrink  easily if you’re not careful about the type of wash you use. Fortunately, it’s also quite simple to return these clothes to their original shape.

The trick is to fill a  basin with lukewarm water  and add a few  tablespoons of baby shampoo . Soak the item of clothing and allow it to soak for half an hour before rinsing it.

Then spread it out on a  towel and let it roll around  until it’s still damp. Then secure it  by the edges  or use heavy objects to stretch the fibers during the final drying process.
