DIY Glass Cleaner Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 4 cups warm water
Instructions:
- Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of white vinegar and 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol.
- Add Cornstarch: Add 2 tablespoons of cornstarch to the mixture. Cornstarch helps in scrubbing away dirt and prevents streaks.
- Mix with Warm Water: Pour 4 cups of warm water into the bowl. The warm water helps to dissolve the cornstarch thoroughly.
- Stir Well: Stir the mixture until the cornstarch is completely dissolved and the ingredients are well combined.
- Transfer to a Spray Bottle: Pour the mixture into a spray bottle using a funnel to avoid spills. Shake well before each use to ensure the cornstarch is evenly distributed.
Application Tips:
- Preparation: Before cleaning, dust off the glass surface to remove any loose dirt and debris.
- Spraying: Spray the cleaner onto the glass surface. For large windows or mirrors, work in sections to prevent the solution from drying before you can wipe it off.
- Wiping: Use a microfiber cloth or a lint-free paper towel to wipe the glass. These materials are effective at picking up the solution and dirt without leaving lint behind.
- Polishing: For an extra shine, use a dry microfiber cloth to buff the glass after cleaning.
