OUR AMAZING STORY
We brought home a juicy watermelon from the supermarket, excited to enjoy it during the week. After placing it on the kitchen counter, we didn’t pay much attention. However, a short time later, we noticed that the watermelon was starting to foam.
Intrigued and concerned, we googled it and learned that fermentation in watermelon can be dangerous. If not treated immediately, the watermelon can actually explode! We couldn’t believe what we read, but it was too late to ignore the problem. We placed the watermelon in a plastic bag and carefully lowered it into the garbage can outside.
