In an interview with Paris Match in December 2023, Thomas Dutronc’s mother, who admitted to living a nightmare, revealed that she wanted to die “as soon as possible, as quickly as possible and as painlessly as possible” and reiterated her hope that the French government would work towards creating a right to euthanasia.
