And I realized late that it was stupid not to listen to your parents.” Rare confidences for the comedian who nevertheless decided not to reveal the whole story to his young interlocutors, as Le Parisien points out. On January 17, 1990, at Trappes station, Jamel Debbouze was caught by the Paris-Nantes train at the same time as another young man named Jean-Paul. The latter was killed in the accident, while the comedian was seriously injured, losing the use of his right arm.
