2 – MEASURING WITH A BILL
You can get an idea of the length of certain objects by relying on the dimensions of money bills. It may be useful to know that:
A 20 euro bill measures 13.3 x 7.2 cm.
A 10 euro bill is equivalent to 12.7 x 6.7 cm.
A 5 euro bill is equivalent to 12 x 6.2 cm
If you are in a country that uses the dollar, be aware that these bills measure 15.6 x 6.6 cm.
3 – MEASURING WITH THE LEGS
A normal stride is around 65 cm while a large step can reach 100 cm.
For example, if you take 15 large steps, this means that you have measured a distance of 15 meters.
This method is used to measure distances or the lengths of rooms or corridors without a tape measure.
4 – MEASURING WITH A SIMPLE A4 SHEET
In order to know the measurement of an object, it is possible to use an A4 sheet. The dimensions of the paper are generally found on its packaging. In the case of an A4 sheet, the dimension is always 29.7 cm by 21 cm.
