But this is not the only way to use lemon in the washing machine. We often wash clothes and other things without thinking about cleaning the washing machine itself.  However, like all household appliances, the washing machine should be cleaned at least once a month so that it always works and does not release dirt on the clothes.

The first thing we should do is to vacuum wash with lemon. Simply put a litre of water with the filtered juice of 2 lemons in the washing machine and start a wash at high temperatures. This way the washing machine will be disinfected thanks to the action of the lemon.

Another problem is the formation of mould and lemon is a perfect solution to combat this problem. Mould formation is usually concentrated in certain areas such as the tray, the seal and the basket.

It is therefore necessary to act directly on the affected areas with lemon juice and leave it to act for about 15 minutes before scrubbing with a toothbrush to remove the mould stains.

For the trim, however, you can prepare a mixture with water, juice of two lemons and lemon peel.  Put it in a spray bottle and spray on the stamp and especially in the folds where hair or dirt can accumulate. Then wipe with a damp cloth to clean.

Lemon can also be used to whiten clothes and restore fabrics to their natural shine. Simply place a measuring cup with filtered lemon juice directly into the drum of your washing machine when washing. Alternatively, if you wish to use a hand wash, you can fill a bowl with water and the juice of two lemons.

In any case, it is always better to read the instructions on the garments and the washing machine, which always indicate how to proceed with washing or cleaning. You must first make sure that these methods can be performed before attempting them and then ruining or breaking the washing machine beyond repair.
