Wax stains on fabrics, grandma’s trick that removes everything

Remedies to remove wax stains from various fabrics
The first remedy that usually solves any problem is: take a blunt knife, follow the outline of the wax stain, rub gently only on the outside and slowly lift the machine over the fabric. You have to use precise but above all delicate movements, otherwise you will ruin the fabric and at that point there is very little you can do. Some people use a hairdryer to remove wax stains from fabrics. There is no denying that the method works, but it is really dangerous.

So, turn on the hairdryer, set it to maximum temperature, direct the air directly onto the stain, keeping the appliance at least 10 cm away. Little by little the wax melts with the heat, so it is rubbed with absorbent paper. The system works, but you can well imagine that there may be last-minute unforeseen events that can permanently ruin the garment, so be careful. Finally, the last method that generally gives great satisfaction and that solves the problem in a very short time is the one that all grandmothers have used and continue to use today. This is the iron. A cotton cloth is spread over the wax stain, then passed through the iron, the cotton cloth absorbs the wax which melts slowly, just as it happens when you use a hair dryer . Done.

Old wax stain, here are some good tips.
If the wax stain to be removed is coloured, it is advisable to soak a cotton ball or a piece of cotton in ethyl alcohol and then wipe it over the stained surface. The alcohol and the cotton will completely dissolve the colour. Immediately afterwards, it can be washed in the washing machine, avoiding high temperatures, especially if it is a delicate and already treated fabric.

However, if the wax stain is old, it is fine to simply use an ice cube. You take the cube and place it directly on the stain. At this point you let it sit for a few minutes and then move on to scraping off the wax . In this case, as far as washing is concerned, you can simply use water with a little soap. The garment will be as good as new without stress and without fear but above all without spending a cent. There are many products on the market suitable for removing special stains, they cost a lot and it is not necessarily true that they really work.
