How to adjust plastic windows in a couple of minutes so that they don’t blow

Eccentric for window adjustment.

Each plastic window has three special eccentrics. They are adjusted with a hex key and, depending on the season, they can be set  to either summer or winter mode . By rotating the eccentric, the pressure of the sashes against the frame will change, and now in more detail.

To prevent the window from being blown through, it is necessary to adjust the eccentric to a position in which most of it will look inside the house.

This way the seals will be pressed tightly against the window frame and cold air will not blow in through the window. For clarity, I have shown in the photo the position of the eccentric relative to the inner side of the window depending on the mode, summer or winter.

After adjusting the lower one, we move on to the two remaining eccentrics so that the pressure is uniform around the entire perimeter of the window.

We adjust the remaining eccentrics.

It is also worth checking the condition of the seals, as over time they lose their properties, in which case they need to be replaced with new ones.

The window is now not blown through, which is noticeable by the even flame.

As a result, such a simple adjustment helps to solve the problem with a drafty window, the house will become warmer and there will be no snow on the windowsill in winter.
