How to remove black from floor joints…

This method works well for stubborn mold or mildew stains but is best used with care, especially on lighter grout.

Ingredients:
Bleach (oxygen bleach is gentler than chlorine bleach)

Water

A stiff brush

Instructions:
Dilute the bleach: Mix 1 part bleach with 4 parts water.

Apply the solution: Use a brush or spray bottle to apply the bleach solution directly onto the blackened areas.

Let it sit: Allow the solution to sit for 5-10 minutes to kill any mold or mildew.

Scrub: Use a stiff brush to scrub the joints or grout.

Rinse thoroughly: Make sure to rinse the area with clean water and wipe it down with a cloth to remove any leftover bleach.

3. Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda
This combination is effective for removing black stains from grout lines without the harshness of bleach.

Ingredients:
Hydrogen peroxide (3%)

Baking soda

A small brush

Instructions:
Make a paste: Mix baking soda with enough hydrogen peroxide to form a paste.

Apply the mixture: Spread this mixture onto the affected grout or joints.

Let it sit: Allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes to break down the stains.

Scrub: Use a brush to scrub the grout lines or joints.

Rinse and clean: Rinse with water and wipe clean with a cloth.
