Steps to Make and Use the Cleaner:

  1. Fill a Bucket: Start by filling a bucket with one gallon of warm water.
  2. Add Vinegar: Pour in one cup of white vinegar. Vinegar is renowned for its natural cleaning properties, effectively cutting through grime and disinfecting surfaces.
  3. Incorporate Baking Soda: Slowly add half a cup of baking soda to the mixture. Be cautious—adding it too quickly can cause fizzing.
  4. Mix in Dish Soap: Stir in one tablespoon of dish soap to help break down tougher grease and dirt.
  5. Optional Scent: If desired, add a few drops of essential oil for a pleasant scent and additional disinfecting properties, depending on the oil used.
  6. Combine Thoroughly: Mix all the ingredients thoroughly, ensuring everything is well combined.
  7. Mop the Floors: Using a mop or cloth, apply the cleaner to your floors in sections. Be sure to wring out excess liquid to avoid over-saturating the floors.
  8. Let It Sit: Allow the mixture to sit for a few minutes on particularly dirty spots to help lift the grime.
  9. Final Rinse: Mop as usual and then rinse the floors with clean water to remove any remaining cleaner residue.

Give this recipe a try, and enjoy the satisfying shine of your newly clean floors, just like my nana always has!
