How to Sharpen Scissors at Home Without Spending Any Money…
Sharpen scissors is a task that we often avoid because we think we will need specialized tools or a professional sharpener. However, it is possible to do it at home, easily and without spending money.
Materials needed
Aluminum foil: A piece about 30 cm long.
Fine sandpaper or sandpaper: A grit of 150 to 200 is enough.
Glass bottle: A sturdy bottle with a smooth surface.
Dull scissors.
Procedure
Sharpen with aluminum foil
This method is one of the simplest. Take a sheet of aluminum foil and fold it several times until you get a considerable thickness. With the scissors, cut the aluminum foil into thin strips, making about 10-15 cuts. This process helps polish and sharpen the scissor blades.
Sharpen with sandpaper or sandpaper
If you have sandpaper at home, you can use it to sharpen the scissors. Take a piece of fine-grit sandpaper and cut strips from the paper. The abrasive side of the sandpaper will sharpen the blades as you cut. Do this about 10 times and then test the scissors to see if they are sharper.
