Tricks to banish silverfish from our homes forever

Another very effective trick is to prepare a real silverfish trap. Pour some oatmeal into a glass jar, which you will then wrap with adhesive tape. The starch in the oatmeal attracts insects, which climb onto the glass to get in, but cannot get out and slip on the glass.

If you can spot a silverfish nest, just pour a little ethyl alcohol on it to eliminate it.

Remember that silverfish like moist places, so if possible, put some baking soda in a glass to help it absorb some moisture.
