Most people prefer not to have insects in their homes because they cause a lot of phobias or carry unwanted germs that get on surfaces, making your family sick. Namely, cockroaches because they spend a lot of their time in trash and near dumpsters, carrying a lot of germs. Meanwhile, many people are allergic to their saliva, shed skin, and feces, getting sick without knowing how.

Below is a cost-effective way to get rid of it, according to experts.

Effective against ants and cockroaches

Boric acid is a good natural spray or trap. Roaches will walk around in the dust, collect particles, and eventually ingest them. As with diatomaceous earth, “a light dusting” is enough. However, most bottles and cans of boric acid have free-flowing lids, so Dr. Chad Gore, entomologist and technical director at Terminix, suggests opening them halfway to make sure you don’t accidentally go overboard. Boric acid has also been shown to be effective against ants, when used correctly. If you find that boric acid doesn’t work the first time, there is a homemade recipe you can follow that has been shown to be effective in treating homes for roaches.
