How to clean and whiten a mop

Lemon and vinegar trick to clean a mop

This trick consists of preparing an effective, degreasing, disinfectant and sterilizing solution that will make the mop very clean and as good as new.

You will need 120 ml of white vinegar, the juice of a lemon, 2 liters of warm water, 5 tablespoons of floor detergent and a deep bucket.

Fill the bucket with vinegar, lemon juice, water and detergent.

Dip the mop in it and let it sit for about 3 hours. If the mop is very dirty, you can leave it overnight.

Then rinse the mop with plenty of running water and let it dry, preferably in the sun or in a ventilated place.

Once dry, the mop can be reused. It is recommended to do this cleaning at least once a month to keep the mop always clean.
