Method 1: The power of salt and baking soda

Salt and baking soda are real allies for effective cleaning.  This duo acts as a natural disinfectant while preserving the integrity of the rubber .

How to proceed?

Prepare a powerful mixture

  • In a bowl, mix  1 tablespoon of coarse salt and  1 tablespoon of baking soda .
  • Add  a little white vinegar to boost the cleaning action and mix until you obtain a smooth paste.

Apply the mixture to the joint

  • Soak  a clean cloth in this solution.
  • For hard-to-reach corners,  wrap the cloth around a thin stick (such as a wooden chopstick) and run it into the grooves of the gasket .

Dry thoroughly

  • Once cleaning is complete,  wipe the seal with a dry cloth .
  • Leave the refrigerator door ajar for a few minutes to prevent moisture build-up.

This method is ideal for removing stubborn stains while avoiding damaging the rubber.
