Other Benefits of Turmeric for Teeth
The main benefit of using natural remedies from superfoods is that they almost ALWAYS provide many other benefits.
Many studies have been done that have shown the benefits of turmeric in dentistry and oral hygiene.
Toothaches and Oral Infections
Turmeric has antiviral and antibacterial properties that can help keep the bad guys at bay and can soothe/improve oral infections.
Gum Irritation and Redness
When you use natural products like turmeric, you can expect less irritation and a healthier mouth than when you use chemicals. Due to turmeric’s antifungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral properties, it can help soothe inflammation and irritation in the mouth.
Some people are unconsciously allergic to chemicals in commercial toothpastes and other oral products. Using more natural substances, such as turmeric, can significantly benefit the mouth by reducing redness and irritation.

Descale Your Pineal Gland
The pineal gland has been called the most important part of your nervous system. It sits right in the center of your brain and is responsible for regulating various hormones. It is also known as the center of “spiritual awakening.”
Many products and chemicals in our modern world have been shown to damage the pineal gland.
Due to turmeric's neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory benefits, it may improve and maintain pineal gland health when used regularly.
Protect Your Brain From Fluoride Damage
Turmeric not only helps whiten your teeth, but can also help combat the negative effects of fluoride.
Fluoride, unfortunately, can be found EVERYWHERE:
drinking water
antibiotics
non-stick pans
toothpaste
…and more
Many studies have shown that fluoride is TOXIC to the human brain and body.
Curcumin, the active substance in turmeric, has remarkable properties for protecting the brain!
Over 200 published, peer-reviewed studies have shown curcumin to be a neuroprotective agent.
With all of our exposure to chemicals and toxic substances that we face every day, turmeric may very well become one of the most important herbs of our time!

5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Turmeric
1) Turmeric is very, very old
Turmeric only became popular in the West about 30 years ago, but it has been used in food and medicine around the world for thousands of years. Historians believe it was first used in India and then spread to Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean.
Researchers have found turmeric on the TEETH of ancient skeletons found near the Indus River and also on various kitchen utensils believed to be from the same period! Looks like we're not the only ones using turmeric to whiten our teeth.
2) Turmeric was considered GOLD in biblical times!
That's right, many historians believe that the gold the wise men brought to baby Jesus was actually turmeric! In many ancient scripts, people refer to gold when they were really talking about turmeric.
3) Turmeric has POSITIVE side effects!
While many anti-inflammatory pharmaceuticals are effective, they also take a heavy toll on your overall health. I’m sure you’ve experienced the negative side effects of medications at one point or another, and they’re not fun! Especially when those medications are meant to make you feel BETTER.
Turmeric on the other hand is loaded with BENEFICIAL side effects for almost every organ in your body! If taken in EXTREMELY high doses it can cause diarrhea and mild nausea, but for normal daily use it is safe and has no side effects (as with anything new, however, consult your naturopath for advice).
4) Turmeric is EASY to incorporate into your diet
You won't have to do much to incorporate this delicious spice into your diet. You can take it in capsule form, use the powder in smoothies, put turmeric root in your juices, add it to all sorts of dishes, use it to brush your teeth, and more. Just browse our site for turmeric recipes!
5) Turmeric may work better than Prozac for depression!
Recent studies conducted by a medical college in India found that curcumin (the active compound in turmeric) was able to improve symptoms of depression in patients and did not cause any negative side effects.
