  1. Pain when urinating

It's never pleasant, but it can also be a sign of trouble. Burning when urinating can indicate a urinary tract infection, which is common but must be treated promptly. In both men and women, an untreated infection can travel all the way to the kidneys. In some cases, it can also mask another infection that shouldn't be overlooked.
