9 Ways to Get Rid of Mice at Home:
1. Humane Traps These
types of traps are available in any market. They are generally easy to use. All you have to do is read the instructions carefully, as there are several traps and they differ in terms of catching these rodents.

If you don't have instructions and it's a cage trap, it's best to put food on the ground and place the trap in an area where mice normally live. I recommend wearing gloves when handling these traps, as mice can sniff around and prefer to get food by other means.

2.
Peppermint essential oil Many people use this because it leaves a very pleasant scent in the house. We love it, but mice hate that kind of smell. For this method, we proceed as follows:

We need enough cotton and make a few rolls (the number of rolls we need is equal to the number of rooms in your house).
In each of them, we must put between 20 and 30 drops of mint essential oil.
Then, we install it in the rooms (especially the kitchen and bathroom).
Every week, we must replace these rolls with new ones. This way, we scare away any mice that want to enter our house.

3. Clove Essential Oil
Another oil they hate is clove oil. This should be done the same way as the previous step, but we can increase the strength of the aroma by placing a few cloves in the center of the cotton.

4.
Bay Leaves Bay leaves are an excellent rat and insect repellent. It's best to place a few branches in areas where mice hang out and replace them as soon as they dry out. However, it's more advisable to place pots at the entrance of the house to deter mice and avoid the hassle of replacing dry leaves.

5. Aluminum Foil
For this method, we'll need to cover some surfaces they can climb on, whether in the kitchen or bathroom. The texture of the aluminum foil is slippery for them, making climbing impossible, and the noise it makes repels them.

6. Homemade Mouse Repellent Spray
To make a homemade mouse repellent spray, you'll need hot peppers. The hotter these peppers are, the more effective they are. I recommend wearing protective gloves as they can irritate your hands and some skin.

You will need:

1 liter of water
1/2 cup chopped hot peppers (preferably habanero)
2 tablespoons
chili seeds Preparation and use:

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend for a few minutes until smooth.
Place the mixture in a glass and let it sit, covered, for 1 day.
After a while, strain the mixture and pour the liquid into a spray bottle.
Spray throughout the house, especially in areas where you know it will be used. Be careful with carpets and furniture, as they can leave stains.
This way, you can get a homemade mouse repellent spray without spending more!

7.
Dryer Sheets These dryer sheets (also called dryer sheets) have a distinctive smell that mice absolutely hate. Simply place these wipes in areas where mice can enter. We must change these wipes every 2 weeks.

8.
Mothballs Another odor that these rodent species cannot tolerate is mothballs. They are very effective, but dangerous if you have pets and/or children in the house, as they are toxic if ingested.

9. Adopt or buy a cat
. Cats instinctively hunt any animal that moves. When our pet is in your home, it emits odors and hairs that mice easily detect and leave the area as soon as possible.

In this way, we effectively drive away small rodents without harming them.

10. The Tomato and Spiral Method
To make a rat and mouse repellent, you will need tomato insecticide and spirals.

First, slice the tomato into thin slices. Place the tomato slices in a bowl and rub them with a spiral insecticide. Once the tomato slices are evenly coated with insecticide, spray it in areas where rats and mice are present. The smell of the tomato, combined with the spiral insecticide, is unpleasant to rodents and will keep them away from the area.

To further increase the effectiveness of the repellent, repeat this process every few days, as the smell will fade over time and the rodents may become accustomed to it.
