Have you heard of this trick? Here's a quick and easy way to tell if an egg is fresh or expired: Dip it in a glass of water and salt. If it floats, the egg is expired; when it sinks, it's fresh!
Why it works:
The floating test works by changing the internal structure of the egg over time. As eggs age, air penetrates through the porous shell and forms a larger air cell. This increased buoyancy causes older eggs to float while fresher ones remain underwater.
