You should not overload the washing machine drum. At the same time, the quality of washing decreases, and the equipment itself may fail, especially if the manufacturer’s recommendations on the maximum load are neglected too often. My machine is small, it’s not easy to place a blanket or blanket in it even when dry, and after getting wet they weigh much more than the load can weigh. Dry cleaning will come to the rescue, but the cost of such a service is high. To wash blankets, I use a method that a friend taught me.
The bathtub needs to be filled with hot water, in which the powder or washing gel should be dissolved; the latter will be preferable.
Make sure the detergent is completely dissolved, and then submerge a blanket or blanket in the bath. Allow at least 4 hours for soaking.
It is impossible to wash such a large object as a blanket with your hands, so you have to do it with your feet. To protect your skin from the powder, you can wear clean rubber boots. If there are no boots, after washing you need to apply cream to the skin of your feet. In the bathroom, stomp on the blanket thoroughly, then turn it over to the other side and stomp on it again.
