Cactus full of flowers, how to make it produce endlessly naturally

[rotated_ad]

As a fertilizer, sugar can help nourish succulent plants by increasing their well-being, that is, by dissolving  some sugar in the water to water the plants.

However, the suitable period for fertilizer  ends with the flowering period.  Christmas cactus flowers bloom after  a dormant period of about four weeks.

This process can be encouraged by making sure the plant has the elements it needs to thrive:  longer, cooler nights.

Keep the plant in the dark for about 12-14 hours a day. If you don’t have a dark place to place it, you can  cover the Christmas cactus in a box  or with a clean cloth.

After Christmas the cactus plant will begin producing buds and you can reposition it where it was before.

Since Christmas cacti  tend to lose their buds  if handled too much, it is advisable to keep them away from heat sources such as radiators and water them regularly.

Once the plant has gone through a dormant period,  it will produce beautiful flowers each year.
