Dear friends, It is with immense pain that we share with you that our little 2-year-old daughter, with the face of an angel, has left us to join heaven.

Samantha Higgins, the girl’s mother, shared her despair in an interview with Crime Online:
“She was full of life, always smiling, and loved to play.”

These touching words are a reminder of how much Octavia was loved and cherished by her family. Her passing leaves a huge void in the hearts of her loved ones and all who knew her.

The two men involved in the altercation were injured but released from the hospital.  The 19-year-old uncle was arrested and charged in the girl’s death.  The investigation continues to clarify the exact circumstances of this tragic event, and additional charges may be filed.
