Heavenly strawberry cake

Squeeze out the gelatine well and heat it in a small saucepan until it has dissolved. Add 2 tablespoons of the quark cream to the gelatine and then stir the gelatine into the entire quark cream. Fold in the cream carefully.

Place the cake base on a cake stand or a large plate and place a cake ring or the cleaned springform pan (without base) tightly around it. Pour in the cream and let the cake cool for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight).

For the topping, wash and clean the strawberries, leave them whole if desired, halve them or cut them smaller and distribute them on the cake.
Mix 2 packets of cake icing with sugar and water, bring to the boil, remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Spread over the strawberries and chill the cake again for 2 hours. Then cut into pieces and enjoy.
