How to Chase Mice Effectively

[rotated_ad]

Instructions:

  1. Step 1: Put the rice in a pan and stir-fry it with your hands. When the rice turns yellow and fragrant, it’s ready.
  2. Step 2: Pour the rice into a bowl and add sesame oil. Mix well.
  3. Step 3: Add the cement into the bowl of rice and mix thoroughly.
  4. Step 4: Divide the mixture into several parts and place them in areas where mice are frequently seen, such as the kitchen, cupboard, or under the bed.

The scent of the roasted rice and sesame oil will attract mice, making them think they’ve found food. However, after they eat it, they will smell water.

When exposed to water, the cement will harden, causing discomfort, a sluggish digestive system, and intestinal blockages. Eventually, this will lead to the mice dying.

Methods to Avoid

  1. Cats: Sure, a cat may catch a few mice, but even the fiercest mouse hunter won’t eliminate an established infestation. Additionally, mice carry diseases and parasites that they can easily transmit to your pets, so encouraging contact between mice and cats is not a good idea.
  2. “Mouse-Repellent” Plants: Some sources claim that strong-smelling plants like garlic, onions, lavender, daffodils, and mint can keep mice away. Unfortunately, there’s no scientific evidence to support this.
  3. Cheese for Baiting Traps: While cartoons suggest that mice love cheese, they actually prefer other foods, especially those with strong aromas like bacon, peanut butter, chicken, and nuts. For more effective trapping, use foods that mice are eating around your home.
  4. Fabric Softener: While the strong smell of fabric softener sheets may initially repel mice, they will get used to the scent after a few days, making this method ineffective.
