First of all, I shortened the sweater, the bottom should fall 15 cm below the waist.

The sleeves should also be shortened to three-quarter length.

We cut off the neck; we won’t need it.

Mark the center of the sweater and cut along this line. From the parts cut off from the bottom I cut out small pockets, the bottom of which was slightly rounded.

I also rounded the bottom of the jacket itself and the edge of the neckline.

We put a stitch along the neckline; it will not allow the fabric to stretch.

A small piece of fabric will be needed for the roll.

I cut it on the bias, with allowances, thanks to which the buttonhole turned out tight, shaped like a cord.

You can cut out the bias tape yourself or take a ready-made one; knitted, cotton or silk will do.
