  • Skin care products and makeup

Moisturizers, serums, and other skincare products applied before bed     can also stain your pillow. Even after washing your face,   residue can remain on your skin and transfer to the fabric overnight   .

How do you prevent your pillows from turning yellow?

Fortunately, there are some   simple tips   to limit the occurrence of these stains and prolong the freshness of your pillows.

  • Use a protective cover

A   waterproof or breathable cover   acts as a barrier between your pillow and sweat or body oils. It’s  machine washable  and therefore easier to care for than the pillow itself.

  • Change your pillowcase regularly

Wash your   pillowcases at least once a week   to prevent dirt and oil buildup.   Choose a 60°C wash cycle   to effectively remove bacteria and residue.

  • Avoid oily skincare products before bedtime

If you apply a night cream,   wait until it’s fully absorbed before going to bed  . This will limit product transfer to your pillow.
