Scale in the shower is always present and is impossible to remove from the cabin, as well as from the shower tray, tiles and shower head.
The part most exposed to dirt is the glass. That is where most tartar stains form, because it is continually in contact with water, shampoo or shower gel.
Removing limescale from the shower is possible, here we tell you how.
Although it may seem impossible to have a shower in perfect condition again, there are simple remedies that do not require significant expense or effort and that give great results.
It is not necessary to use citric acid as many recommend, but simply alcohol vinegar, which can be applied to the shower lever or faucet that is used to change the water temperature and go from hot to cold water.
The lever is often dull and full of stains and encrustations. Therefore, it is important to clean, polish and degrease it every time we wash ourselves or wash the bathroom. Alcohol vinegar prevents dirt or scale from settling every time.
Cleaning the shower head and the glass, always opaque and full of tartar.
The best ingredient to use is precisely alcohol vinegar, which has significant anti-tartar, degreasing and phenomenal polishing power. Then, fill a spray bottle with three parts vinegar and one part water, then spray the mixture directly on the parts affected by tartar in the shower and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Then rinse with a sponge, rubbing gently and voilà, the tartar in the shower will no longer exist. As for the shower head, limescale in this case mainly settles in the holes and clogs them. That is why sometimes the water has difficulty coming out.
To remove limescale from your shower head, fill a plastic bag with two glasses of vinegar and submerge the shower head inside. Then tie a knot to secure the bag and let the solution sit for an hour. Finally, rinse and the water jet will definitely be different, much more powerful.
As for the glass, a lot of scale accumulates here too, because the water splashes both when we wash and when we clean the bathroom. After this, you should always be very careful and dry the sanitary fittings to avoid scale.
In this case, vinegar is also used, which is added to hot water. Fill a container with hot water and just a glass of vinegar, then dip a sponge in it and use it, well wrung, to remove limescale stains from the shower glass. Be careful not to use the rough side, as this can scratch the glass. Then they are dried with a cloth to remove all excess water and proceed with another soft cloth, preferably cotton, to give them shine.
