Lemon in the washing machine: a homemade fabric softener

There are several ways in which you can use lemon in the washing machine and one of them is to use it as a natural fabric softener. Lemon has emollient properties for laundry as it widens the fibres of the garments, thus making the fabrics softer.

To make lemon fabric softener, simply prepare a mixture by mixing 1 L of water with the juice of one and a half lemons.  Then use a measuring cup to pour the correct amount into the detergent drawer. The result will be super soft and fragrant clothes.
