Things You Do Wrong Every Day (link in comments)

Everyone has a few bad habits, but some of these habits make daily tasks much more difficult than they should be. We perform many tasks incorrectly every day without even realizing it. From using deodorant to properly charging our cell phones, here are some of the things you’re doing wrong every day.

Showering

Nothing prepares you better to face the day than a nice, hot shower. However, spending too much time under hot water isn’t exactly good for you. Showering too frequently can remove some of the skin’s good bacteria and oils, disrupting the body’s natural balance and causing dry, cracked skin.

According to the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, showering too frequently can also lead to serious skin problems like eczema. To avoid a very itchy future, try reducing the number of days you shower. If you really need to shower every day, focus on cleaning the essential areas.

Peeling Bananas

Bananas are a great choice for breakfast. However, if the stem is soft or the top is a little mushy, it can get messy. Did you know that peeling a banana by the stem isn’t the best method?

Monkeys, the true banana-eating experts, recommend opening the banana from the opposite end. Pinch the brown end until the skin splits, then continue peeling. This method is easier and also helps remove those pesky banana strings that often get stuck in the fruit.

Using Toothpaste

Whether you brush your teeth (before or after breakfast), chances are you’re using too much toothpaste. Advertisements have led us to believe that squeezing a long strip of toothpaste onto the brush is a good way to fight cavities, but this isn’t true.

In reality, a small, pea-sized amount of toothpaste is enough to keep your teeth clean and healthy. Advertisements use these long strips of toothpaste to make their product more appealing and encourage you to use it more.

Folding Clothes

While folding clothes seems like a simple task, it can often be time-consuming. However, there’s a quick method for folding a shirt in just three seconds. Start by laying the shirt flat and pinching it halfway down with one hand and near the collar with the other. Then, fold your left hand over your right hand so that the collar section is at the bottom of the shirt. Pinch this section in your left hand. Release the shirt by pulling your right hand through it. Unfold slightly, turn it over, and voilà!

Watch the video below for the method, as it’s not that easy!

Put Away Eggs

You’re about to put away some groceries, including a carton of eggs. If you’re thinking of putting them in the egg compartment on the refrigerator door, think again. Eggs should be kept at a constant temperature of less than 20 degrees Celsius. The refrigerator door is the warmest part of the refrigerator, due to the frequent opening and closing of the door, which exposes eggs to frequent temperature fluctuations, thus compromising their freshness. Therefore, store eggs in the middle of the refrigerator, where the temperature is more constant.

Cross Out Words Correctly

When crossing something off your to-do list, a straight line doesn’t really hide the original text unless you scribble furiously or use correction fluid. A more effective method is to write a series of random letters over the words you want to erase, rendering the original words indecipherable.

Using Post-it Notes

When you peel a Post-it note from its pad from the bottom, it pulls the paper in the direction it was pulled, making it curled. To avoid this, detach it from the side; this keeps the note flat and prevents it from falling.
